Power Pet Sitter allows you to collect and charge your client’s credit cards for appointments, per your business policy and frequency. Our platform encourages the use of Square Processing Solutions.
What do I need to do to get started?
- Step 1
- Step 2
- Step 3
Obtain your merchant account.
If your business is coming from our legacy program and you are migrating, you may continue to use your Authorize.net account.
If your business is a new business with Power Pet Sitter, we provide integration with Square Processing Solutions.
Your account with these processors are outside of the Power Pet Sitter purview. Please contact the processor of your choosing to find out their rates, and how to sign up.
Locate your Connection Keys or Sign in to your account.
If using Authorize.net, you will need to locate your API Login ID and Transaction Key for integration with PPS. They provide directions here.
If using Square, you only need to be logged into your account in a separate tab.
Save your connection keys or connect to your Square Account.
You will find your processor connection area inside the Accounts and Connections page, under Payment Integration.
Simply drop in your Authorize.net Keys or click the ‘Connect to Square’ button. Saved keys will display. Saved connection to Square Processing will result in an on page message stating such and an ‘Update Square’ account button.
I have my Merchant account and have it connected; What now?
Once you have the payment gateway information stored, then you can begin charging your client’s credit cards.
To charge a credit card, find the appointment in question on your landing page and click into the Payment page. On the right hand side, you will see the Grand Total and summary, as well as ‘Payment Methods’.
Clients may have several cards on file. All cards on file will show in the dropdown for selection. If your client would like you to use a card that is not already on file, you have the option of adding a new credit card, using ‘Add New Payment Method’.
Once you have successfully run a charge, you will see ‘Transaction Successful’ or ‘Transaction Declined’ with a message from your processor. The appointment information in the upper right hand corner will update to reflect your processed amount. Any credits consumed will be shown there as well.
