Power Pet Sitter is a software that is intended to work around you and your unique business needs. Because of this, new Power Pet Sitter accounts will have to do some basic setup, to frame and structure how your business functions and appears to your clients and staff members.
In order to start scheduling of any kind, you must have three things in place.
Time Blocks: Time blocks are the blocks of time during the day that you will be servicing your Clients. Good examples include: Morning 8 AM – 10:59 AM | Mid-day 11 AM – 1:59 PM | Afternoon 2 PM – 4:59 PM. Your clients and staff members will chose from this list when scheduling.
Services: Services are exactly what they sound like; the services that you will be providing for your clients. You will want to use the language and terminology that you and your Clients are most familiar with when creating these services.
Add ons: While you don’t need add-ons to start scheduling, it’s a great idea to set up all your basic services at once. Add ons are sub services – extras that are attached to a primary service. The best examples of these are: Medicine/Injections, Sitter Tip, Other Misc activity (Running dogs instead of walking them). You also have the option of making your add-ons Pet Specific, meaning the pet’s name will show next to the subservice.
Clients: In order to schedule an appointment, you will need someone to schedule for. You are free to create as many clients as you like in PPS. Access your User tab and select Client from the Add row. All the required fields must be populated, but you can put in dummy information as long as it follows the expected format. IE email@example.com, 111-111-1111
With time blocks and services set, you can now schedule your first Client. Find out how to schedule an appointment here.
User Note: Please be aware that Power Pet Sitter does not delete time blocks or services. While you can edit both items, you cannot delete them without deleting every appointment that’s used it. Please take care when creating your time blocks most especially.
